AIB merging with EBS to form Voltron!!!  Just kidding.  They're forming one of two Irish megabanks (Bank of Ireland being the other), though EBS will maintain its brand and operate as a plc with its own branch network...kinda like Wachovia under Wells Fargo, or any number of other mid-sized American banks that have been effectively subsumed by our Megabanks...except our banks are still privately owned and the Irish banks are quasi-nationalized.

Share price has fallen off considerably over the past six months.  Now is the time to buy.  This is a bank that has managed to add substantial value in recent years based on EVA Momentum -- http://evadimensions.com/tag/eva-momentum/ -- a metric that is calculated by dividing the change in its economic profit in one year by its sales in the preceding year.  AIB is knocking it out of the park with an EVA ratios of 18.2,% 15.2%, and a whopping 47.1% over the past years, respectively.

This is something of a risky pick given the current financial climate over yonder, but I feel like I'm standing in a field of 4-leaf clovers on this one!
