Akamai's not a bad company, but it looks a little overbought here and likely to face resistance from the 40 area.  Bought some May 21 AKAM 38 puts today at 1.50.  Breakeven is then 36.50.  

Lately all the news in the bit streaming sector is towards LVLT with the news that Level3 would buy GLBC Global Crossing for $23.04 a share, or a 56% premium over the company’s closing stock price on Friday April 8.  Level3's market cap is only $2.8B whereas Akamai's is $7.4B.  Before this news it was news that some of the NFLX streaming business was given from AKAM to LVLT.  So to me I think the stock will fall.

By 5/20 the stock may not get to 36 as my target would indicate, but if it looks likely enough that it may drop to 36, you can make plenty on this options trade closing the position well before expiration.
