Yamana Gold, Inc. mines gold, silver, and copper in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia. Part of the reason for this may be to provide the precious metals necessary to create the gold medals that are so often awarded to their Olympic and World Junior hockey teams but that's probably just my imagination getting the better of me.
What I do know is that the prices of gold and silver are continuing to edge higher. Some analysts think that gold will move as high as $2000 an ounce by the end of this year. I think that's a bit silly, but I'm pretty sure there's still enough mania to give companies like Yamana one more big push in the coming months.
