DigitalGlobe, Inc., founded in Colorado in 1993, are in the business of providing commercial earth imagery products and services worldwide. They used to call themselves Earth Watch, but that was apparently too creepy and big-brotherish, so they changed their name to DigitalGlobe in 2002.
The stock has taken a bit of a beating in recent months, but they landed a monster deal with Baidu to provide images of 300+ cities in China. That should keep the green flowing for the next few years, and put this stock back on the map in the near future as the implications of this partnership sink in.
