I just emerged from my Rapture Bunker to find you people are (mostly) still here, so I figured I'd write a coverage. Follow me on this one.
People love war. War always exists somewhere in the world. Americans especially love to watch war while eating Swanson T.V. Dinners when there isn't anything good on Netflix ( NFLX ) or their TiVo ( TIVO ). With Africa exploding before our eyes and increased instability across the EU, the next two years might -- nay, WILL, says the doomsayer -- offer some interesting times.
Enter Discovery's ( DISCA ) Military Channel. Launched in 1999 as a wonky niche outlet for the aeronautically inclined, DISCA made it into The Military Channel in the middle of the Iraq War in2005. Or at least what we thought was the middle of the war. All it will take is a couple more US skirmishes and maybe a surprise attack or two by Poland or Eritrea and DISCA will have advertisers lined up faster than you can say "Man vs Deadliest Myths!" Won't that be awesome? There's my cheery doom and gloom pick for the weekend.
