Look, to be honest this is a bit of a gamble.  I don't think that positive performance from Ford is going to surprise anyone at this point, but as they make better cars than GM, and cars that are less beige and have a better public perception than Toyota I expect to see some serious improvements in market share over the next few months.

 If I could model a more complex investment here, I might consider a double hedge of some kind betting on GM to underperform and Ford to outperform the entire automotive sector.
