Ford should indeed be benefiting from all the stimulus spending on infrastructure. A solid vehicle is needed at such sites. There is, of course, competition, but Ford trucks are always favored.

We were also told that Ford dealerships do well as winter approaches and snow falls.

Yeah....not been having the best luck with coverages on here at the moment. I think I've been too focused on my option plays that are running through the next month or two.

I am holding onto Jan 2012 17.5 Calls for Ford, and I may look to increase that holding.

Ford seemed to hold that 15.04 level, and not fil lthe gap that it created back in October of last year. I would want to see Ford trade sideways, and then maybe make a strong move up before I added to it. If I see Ford up 3% percent on a particular day, I will likely look at it closer to add to.

I don't think I'd be playing options with Ford. The ratio of spread to price movement is just too great. Average suckers like us seem to always lose when playing options on stocks under $40 or $50. Just buy the stock!

Holding plenty of the stock, but the premium on the leap is pretty low so you can really put your capital to use.

LEAPs, interesting angle. Looks like you can pay about a 16% premium to bet on better than a 30% increase over 2 years. Not a bad bet, I suppose, but that's still a gamble on a $20B bump in market cap just to break even.

...only if your strategy is to hold until expiration....
