Gildan makes and sells sport shirts, t-shirts, fleece shirts, and socks.  They're one of those under-the-radar brands that you see but never notice while browsing through racks of Under Armor, Nike, Adidas or one of the other, sexier sports apparel brands. 

The stock got spiked like a Karch Kiraly volleyball missile a few months back but has made a tremendous recovery of late.  During several recent visits to Sports Authority or Dick's, I've noticed more and more of their product competing for space on the racks with more popular and more expensive brands.

Maybe it's the state of the economy and folks deciding they'd rather ditch the fancy logo and spend a third of the money for the same basic item.  I don't know.  People don't usually have that much self-control.  Whatever the case, this is one of those real-life-observation coverages that I'm feeling pretty good about.  I also discovered that Gildan are the folks behind Gold Toe socks, and by gum, those things are awesome!
