OYO Geospace Corp. is a Houston-based outfit that peddles seismic data monitoring devices and information processing systems.  The gear they sell is astronomically expensive, but necessary to aid in the prediction of earthquakes, and to protect the interests of ocean-bottom oil projects.

This is, in essence, a bet on there being another Thailand-doucheing tidal wave or something of that nature that breaks some country's coastline into particles to see if it can get it in a newspaper article.
