Virtually unstoppable...

The dominant force in the virtualization market, VMWare enjoyed a stellar 2009 (87%) gain. With scores of government agencies hopping on the virtual bandwagon, 2010 should be another banner year for this Palo Alto-based firm.

One of the most well-positioned companies to benefit from a potential tech-spending rebound should the clouds of the economic storm blow over.

I think VMWare is past its peak in terms of its hype and popularity. I agree that this stock will benefit once it's clear IT spending is on its way back up, but is it the best tech stock?

Go to lunch and your whole world gets fucked! At least this is still above target. Getting out now and will probably get back in when it hits bottom.

I actually was looking at google finance when the shit hit the fan, total market freak-out. I guess a lot of triggers to buy got hit, like I inadvertently bought NFLX at $90... either a lot of buying support got triggered or the market computers went haywire for like 5 minutes or so. Dow was down 8% at one point. In one day.
